Product Introduction

Chiplon Microelectronics has launched CLM5C711, a laser diode driver mainly used in laser printers and digital copiers, which includes laser power control function. The cathode of a 2ch laser diode (LD) and the anode of a monitoring photodiode (PD) are connected to the valve stem. After power activation, the first APC (Automatic Power Control) operation sets the driving current to the target LD intensity. There will be a dedicated interface between the CLM5C711 IC using two of the driving 4-beam semiconductor laser tube arrays (4ch LDA). This way, parallel APC and high-precision APC can be blocked by each LD. In addition, various fault safety functions have been enhanced to protect LD through error detection.
